>> My name is Christine Rizzo. I work in the athletics marketing department here at Rutgers University. Currently I am the assistant director of marketing; I'm also the spirit coordinator for the department. So we are more of the we're both internal and external, the only thing we don't cover is the corporate sponsorships, we have IMG for that. So in our department we're doing strategic partnerships on campus and off from the community. We're targeting the students and the sports fans in the area all over the state of New Jersey with different ticket offers, promotional nights, different ways to get people our fans and audience base to come out to all different sporting events, football, basketball and our Olympic sports as well. No day is the same, that's what I always tell people, that's my favorite part of the job. It's always different projects from each sport so you're working on different marketing plans, executing different promotions and then being there at the game to see how it all turned out. Spirit coordinator, I help the coaches. We have the three spirit teas, we have the dance team, the all-girl cheer team and the co-ed cheer team. I also work a lot with the mascot team as well. And that's coordinating their day to day, their practice face, their different events, it's on campus and off campus, goes from games to community appearances at the hospitals, to they just did a Nike commercial, anything that comes up really helping coordinate get the girls and guys to all of the different events to represent the university.
